Meet the 2022 Program Counselors

Iva

Hi everyone!

My name is Iva, I’m 19 years old and I am thrilled to be Head Counsellor of the Rec Programme this summer.

A little bit about me:  I just finished my first year at McGill University, where I’m studying History and Middle Eastern Studies on a pre-law track.  In my spare time you can find me sailing and swimming, making bracelets, baking chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, and spending time with my friends.

This will be my 5th summer with the Rec Programme and I cannot wait to get started!

See you in early July 🙂

Avery

I’m a grade 11 student, a member of the Youth Advisory Committee of Georgeville (YAC), and a student council member at my high school.  I have 2 years experience working at Rec and I am super excited to be joining this year’s Georgeville recreation programme.  I attended the Rec program every summer as a kid and I loved my time there.  I’m so grateful for the opportunity to create an exciting and memorable experience for the campers this year like I had growing up.  As a camp counselor, I intend to work hard alongside my team of counselors to offer a variety of entertaining activities and to ensure all campers have an exciting and memorable summer.

Riley

Hello! My name is Riley and I am 19 years old and I am very excited to be a counselor again!  This will be my second year here at the recreational programme, and I attended Georgeville camp when I was a kid.  I CIT-ed for over three years before I was officially a counselor.  I also just finished my first year at Seattle University!  I really enjoy going to the lake and organizing activities and playing outdoor games.  I am looking forward to spending a great summer with you guys!

Samuel

Hi! My name is Samuel.  I just finished high school!  I love peanut butter chicken and programming.  Sports take a big part of my life:  I like snowboarding, wakeboarding, wake surfing, mountain biking, Taekwondo and rock climbing.  It’s a pleasure for me to undergo my first year as monitor at Georgeville’s Recreation camp.
